I have such faith in this team. I’ve watched and supported the Japan national team since 2009, when Japan played against my country England in a friendly. You earned my undying respect and belief in your growth as a football nation then.

I have never had such belief that Japan can do well in the World Cup as I do now. 2018 was the beginning of an even brighter future. In 2018 everyone said Japan would bow out at the group stage because Colombia and Poland are gauranteed to go through. Instead we saw an all-time classic between Japan and Belgium, considered internationally to be the best match of the 2018 World Cup. Germany and Spain have been exposed in their last run of matches. If any team have the expertise, team cohesion and planning needed to beat them in this state, it’s Japan.
